Personal Care services offer assistance to clients, who have experienced a loss in their ability to perform the activities of daily living (ADLs) which include bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, using the toilet, eating, and ambulation/walking. Such assistance may enable them to remain in a safe, clean, and healthy home environment.

Home Care Assistants, make it feasible for individuals who need some help with the activities of daily living to reside out of a hospital or nursing home, live in their own homes, and remain active and independent. Not having this essential help usually stops people from living independently or being active members of the community.
